"Engineering career in Aerospace in Quebec " by Gabriel Taraboulsi, Ph.D., from EASi, Montreal

The presentation will focus on the prospect of engineering career based on Gabriel personal experience in the field of aerospace. The presentation will focus on what is needed to have a successful career in aerospace specifically in the field of design of gas turbines and in managing project in aerospace. Gabriel will also present some of the type of projects that he worked on.

Gabriel Taraboulsi graduated with a B.A.Sc. from Ain Shams University faculty of engineering in 1991. He received his M.A.Sc. in 1995 and PhD in 2008 from Concordia University. He also received his MBA from JMSB in 2013. Gabriel Joined Rolls-Royce in 1997 as a project designer working mainly on the Industrial Trent. During his career at Rolls-Royce he was a team lead. During that period Gabriel led the air/oil system, transmission system and whole engine system. Gabriel also led multiple Integrated Product Development Teams (IPDT). In 2012 he Joined Bombardier Business Aircraft Strategy and Marketing team and was the product manager for the Challenger 350. In 2014 Gabriel joined the Missionized team at Bombardier as Program Manager. In 2017 Gabriel Joined EASi, an engineering consulting firm that started operating in Montreal in 2016, and he is currently the program manager at EASi Montreal responsible for the Siemens account.
